The first translator of the Quran was Salman who was a Persian and he translated the Quran in Persian language. The Quran is a revelation very specifically in Arabic and so it should only be recited in the Arabic language. The task of translation is not an easy one some Arabic speakers reveals that some Quranic passages are difficult to understand even in the original Arabic. The idea that the Quran and prayers must always be in Arabic was made in early Islamic period.
