The Lahore American School is an independent co-education day private school in Lahore. The school follows the American school system and offers a range of subjects and currently hosts students and employees of various nationalities. The school was founded by a parent group in 1956 to provide American college preparatory to the students of Lahore. This school provides the students the American school system. The school offers a wide range of subjects and has employees and students of different nationalities. The school's main language is English but Urdu and French are also taught in this school as a second language. This school has an educational program from nursery to grade 12. The school is run by the 7 members of board of directors elected for 2 years. Memberships has been given to those people who enrolled their children in this school. The school is registered by the ministry of education of Pakistan. The schools curriculum is based on the U.S.general academic, college-preparatory independent schools. The schools testing program is same as the American Testing program and the College Board tests. After the graduation most of the students got the admissions in the colleges and universities of the United States. The Lahore American School provides the facilities of a cafeteria, science laboratories, a 20,000 volume library, audio visual facilities, a high school computer room, an elementary computer room, an art room, an elementary play ground, a soccer field, a swimming pool, a theater/art complex and much more. The school has 54 full time faculty members.
