BISE is responsible of performing following functions: It looks after the Educational Institutions recognition issues. It also look up for the conditions of appointment to various examinations conducted by the Board. It issue certificates and diplomas to the successful candidates. It has to produce its won money through fees. It award scholarships, medals and prizes to position holders. It organize, promote and conduct activities other than education to enhance personal skills. It provides jobs necessary for the purpose of its functions; provided that a post in Bs-17 or above, shall be created with a prior approval of the Controlling Authority. It look after of the needs for the education like furniture, building, books and others. It conduct the examinations of Intermediate Education, Secondary Education, Pakistani and others which comes under the authority of government.
