BISE (Board Education Multan) works under the authority of Government of Punjab. The Chairman, Secretary Controller of Examinations, Audit Officer and DPE are selected and appointed by the Controlling Authority (which is Punjab Government) for a period of 3 years. Other officers and staff in BS-16 and above are appointed by the Governors, in BS-5 to BS-15 by the Chairman and in BS-1 to BS-4 by the Secretary. (The BS is the Grade of officers).
