Aamer Sohail Ali
was born on September 14, 1966 in Lahore, Pakistan. He is consider to be
an aggressive batsman, Aamir Sohail first appearance in the world of cricket
for the national team in a 1990 One-day International against Sri Lanka.
He was among the most important member of the Pakistan team that are the
cause of win the 1992 Cricket World Cup in Australia and under the
captaincy of Imran Khan. Sohail captained Pakistan in six Tests in 1998,
He captained Pakistan in 22 One-day Internationals from 1996 to 1998,
winning nine matches and averaging 41.5 with the bat. After retiring
from cricket in 2001, Sohail became chief selector for the national
team, his tenure ending in January 2004. He continues to work as a
cricket broadcaster. |
