Fatima Jinnah
was born on July 30, 1893 in Karachi ,Karachi was then part of British
India also known as Madar-e-Millat was the sister of Quaid-i-Azam
Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan. She was Dentist by
Profession. Initially she took her early education from Dr. R. Ahmed
Dental College in the University of Calcutta in 1919 and opened her own
dental clinic in Bombay in 1923.
She was active
person for Pakistan movement and the star organiser of All India Muslim
Women Students Federation. During the whole process of awakenings of
People for Pakistan as a separate country she remained the right hand of
his brother and even after the creation of Pakistan and the death of her
brother, she remained an active member of the party and the politics. In
1965, Fatima Jinnah submitted her name as a candidate of the Combined Opposition
Party (COP) but she lost the election, her loss came as a shock to the
world community. She continued to work for the welfare and the benefits
of people of Pakistan and mainly for women and continued till her death
which happened in Karachi on July 8, 1967 due to heart attack. |
