Nawaz SharifMian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif was born on 25th December, 1949 at Lahore in Pakistan He was the former prime minister of Pakistan and a Pakistani politician. His political party name is the Pakistan Muslim League (nawaz group). His father, Muhammad Sharif was a businessman and the owner of “ITTAFAQ GROUP OF INDUSTRIES”. Nawaz took his early educated from Saint Anthony’s High School and graduated from Government College Lahore, and acquire a law degree from University of the Punjab. After the completion of his education he enrolls himself in Punjab provincial politics and joint the Punjab advisory district council. He than became finance minister of Punjab in 1981 and also served as minister of sports. He first time became the Chief Minister of Punjab province on April 9, 1985. On May 31, 1988 he was appointed caretaker Chief Minister after the dismissal of assemblies by Zia-ul-haq. After the 1988 general elections he again elected as Chief Minister of Punjab. Nawaz Sharif remained in the position until he became prime minister in 1990. He has been selected two times the Prime Minister of Pakistan, the first turn starts from November 1, 1990 till July 18, 1993 and the second from February 17, 1997 till October 12, 1999. It was its times when Pakistan carried out its successful nuclear tests on May 28, 1998, in return to the Indian five nuclear tests. His government justified the tests as a symbol of national security and during his time period Pakistan became first Islamic country to be the Nuclear power. After his government dismissal by Musharaff on 12th October 1999. Nawaz his family moved with him to Saudi Arabia and set many corruptions charges and after exile of many years on November 25, 2007. He came back to Pakistan returned to the world of politics. In 2008 election his party won heavy seats in Punjab assembly as well as in Nation assembly and formed government in collaboration with PPP. |
