Umer Sharif or Umar Sharif
Umer Sharif was born in 1955 at Karachi in Pakistan. He is a comedian, stage, film and TV actor, director cum producer. He appeared on TV at age of 14 in a stage play. The play which brings him to the fame was popular 1985 comedy stage Bakra Qistoon Pay. Bakra Qistoon Pay stage shows change the taste of theatre and turned the mood to comedy from poetry. The popularity of Bakra Qistoon Pay went to India as well and Umer Sharif became a famous in India also. Many of his famous dialogs from stages are copied in Bollywood movies. He has also produced films like Mr. 420, Mr. Charlie, Miss Fitna, etc. Umer Sharif is in process of completing his first Indian movie, Tum Mere Ho, as a director. He also was a judge in the famous Indian comedy show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge. Currently he is working in a comedy show on Geo KON HAI JO HAIAM HASAYAIN. Umer Sharif is also associated with a political party MQM and opened a Hospital which is reserved for the peoples of TV, Film and stage.
