Zohaib Hassan was born
in Karachi on November 18, 1966. He was the brother of legend Pakistani pop
singer Nazia Hassan. His first ever song with his sister was "Sang Sang Chalien"
& "Kaliyon Ke Mala", famous musical show for children in late 70s. He debuted in
1980 with album "Disco Deewane", a milestone of pop music that was a super hit
both in Pakistan, as well as in India and due to this this pair of sister and
brother was recognize in India and America equally. In 1982, Zohaib & her sister
released their second album "Boom Boom", once again a super hit, followed by an
other hit albums like "Young Tarang" (1984), and "Hot Line" (1987). In these
entire album he sang duet with her sister Nazia hassan.
Zohaib’s hit duets with
his sister Nazia include "Dosti", "TERE QADMON KO", and "DUM DUM DI DI". On his
behalf there are songs, including "JHOOM", "ZARA CHEHRA TO", and "PYAAR KA
JAADU".In 1989, Nazia and Zohaib than hosted the famous "Music 89" from
Pakistan. In 1995, Nazia gave up singing and Zohaib took some time off from
music, come back with his solo album "Kismet" in 2000. He once again appear on
TV in a mega Drama telecast from Geo TV in which he leads.He has also worked in
various TV commercials like Lipton (1990), Lipton (1991), Lipton (1992), Walls
Cornetto (2001), Polio Compaign (2002), Peak Fearns Biscuit (2004). His album
